Good morning - I cannot seem to figure out how to removing the highlighting from one auto numbered paragraph. As example:
1. item a. sub-item i. sub-sub item (THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHTED ONE and the highlighting is only on the i.) Has anyone else had this issue and if so could you provide a solution? Thank you! |

We could better help you with a sample document with the problem.
How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum. A document, not screenshot, would be most helpful. |

I agree with Charles that a sample document would help.
Generally, though, paragraph numbers will display highlighted/selected if you click on them. To be specific, clicking a paragraph number will select all numbers which belong to the same list. (For multilevel lists, only numbers that belong to the same numbering level will be selected.)

When an autonumber has different formatting applied to it, the formatting is coming from the paragraph mark at the end of that paragraph. Select that paragraph mark and change the formatting to see this reflected in the autonumber.
